Content Moderation Policy
How we keep Lovender safe: age checks, automated filters, human review, how we handle reports, and how you can appeal a decision.
Last updated: 24 September 2026
1. Our approach
All content on Lovender is AI-generated in response to user prompts. We use several layers of protection to stop illegal and prohibited content before and after it is created. We do not monitor every conversation in real time, and we respect your privacy, but we act quickly when our systems or users flag a problem.
2. How we moderate
| Layer | What it does |
|---|---|
| Age assurance | Users must pass an age check before accessing adult content. Suspected minors are removed. |
| Prompt filtering | Automated checks block prompts involving minors, real people, and other prohibited topics before anything is generated. |
| Model safeguards | Our AI models and character settings are configured to refuse prohibited requests. |
| Output scanning | Generated images and text are scanned automatically. Anything that appears to break the rules is blocked. |
| No real-photo uploads | The Service does not accept photos of real people for sexual image generation or editing. |
| Human review | Trained staff review flagged content, user reports and appeals. |
| Public content review | Characters shared publicly are reviewed before they appear in the gallery. |
3. Reporting content
- Use the in-app report button, or email [email protected] with the subject "Report". You don't need an account to report.
- Reports involving minors or real people are treated as urgent and handled as fast as possible, normally within 24 hours.
- Other reports are reviewed within 5 business days. We will tell you the outcome where appropriate.
- Content removal requests: if you think content depicts or resembles you, email us. We will remove it and take action against the account responsible. We don't require proof of identity beyond what we need to act on the request.
4. Actions we take
| Severity | Examples | Typical action |
|---|---|---|
| Minor | Borderline content, a first attempt to bypass filters | Content blocked or removed, warning |
| Serious | Repeated breaches, harassment, real-person impersonation | Temporary suspension or feature restrictions |
| Severe | Minors, sexual content of real people, non-consensual intimate images, terrorism | Permanent ban, data preserved as required, and reported to authorities (e.g. NCA/CEOP, IWF, NCMEC, police) |
5. Appeals
If you think we made a mistake, email [email protected] with the subject "Appeal" within 30 days of the decision. A different person from the one who made the original decision will review it within 10 business days. Appeals are not available where we are legally required to act or where content involves minors.
6. Legal requests
We respond to valid requests from law enforcement and regulators and comply with our duties under the UK Online Safety Act 2023 and other applicable laws. Contact for authorities: [email protected], subject "Law enforcement request".
7. Improving over time
We regularly review our filters, policies and risk assessments and update them as risks change.
